I can run my sudo openvpn myfile.conf file fine, but when I pass it to vpnshift, I always get the error:

stopping openvpn (pid = 16206).Wed Jul 11 20:06:28 2018 event_wait : Interrupted system call (code=4)

Nevermind, this was my own issue, it had to do with firefox not working correctly with this.
