update to latest kotlin_version

Hi,
We are using chewie in flutter which has a transitive dependency on this library.
Due to old kotlin_version we are not able to make some important changes in our host app.
Can you please update to latest kotlin_version?

Hi, thanks for opening the issue! Do you know the required / recommend Kotlin version and do you have a reference for that?

We are also waiting for the Kotlin version to be updated. Our projects require a minimum version of 1.8.0.

Can you please assist with this?

You'll be fine if you use this wakelock_plus. I got the same issue, and then I switched.

I will soon discontinue this repository. Please use wakelock_plus: ^1.1.6 instead.
