Volume Buttons Keyboard/ Side Buttons

Installed Ubuntu 18.04.3 Desktop x64 bit.

Everything works out of the box except for Volume Controls on the tablet and the keyboard hot keys. Going into Sound Settings, I cannot see my sound devices. However, there is sound when playing YouTube on Chrome. Volume can be controlled on the video.

Was able to resolve the issue of the volume control by installing KMix from the software centre. Volume for all apps can be controlled with the KMix volume slider. Sound devices, including headphones (sound working and turns off speakers when plugged in!) are now shown in sound settings. However, keyboard volume control and tablet volume controls still do not work. Have to manually adjust volume slider in KMix.

Hopefully a solution can be found. New to Linux but reading and trying to understand.
