Schema tweak needed: element "activity" needs to allow attribute "type"

The activity element is an outgrowth of our earliest metadata table in which we identified the scope of activity involved (e.g., glassmaking, etching, etc.). Currently, the schema does not allow a "type" attribute to allow these kinds of interpretive categories.

I will add. Should there be a defined list of values or allow anything?

Right now, I don't think there should be. My uses include "painting" "varnishing" "embellishing" "medicine" "polishing" "engraving" etc.
