No WiFi on new image

Hi,
WiFi was working with factory SD card.
Flashed new OS ( ebf56b192ef969ef8bce87b185c3d776a44ba6d0 ) and now have no WiFi (No wireless interfaces found in Desktop)
Actually, that's not quite the case.
I realize I was trying to join a network in the Cutie Shell, so it was listing networks... it still is, however the passwords don't work and as I say, the Desktop's (Pixel?) status widget says "No wireless interfaces found".
raspi-config -> System Options -> Wireless LAN says "Could not communicate with wpa_supplicant" then "There was an error running option S1 Wireless LAN"
I restarted wpa_supplicant service ( systemctl restart wpa_supplicant ) and then status responts that it's active (running) but raspi-config still says can't communicate.
Now it works after a full re-flash... Wonder if I was trying 5G wifi before, I definately did standard 2.4 this time...
Closing as I'm not sure it wasn't user error
