Parsing of IDs

A first column with IDs is ignored in the display of the data. However, this only seems to work with numerical IDs, e.g. see the following example

I propose to simple require always two columns at the start of a file: the first column is an ID (which is ignored in the visualisation) and the second column are names for visual display (optionally padded with dots, which are ignored in the display). All further columns are editable.
