changes cannot be made if root is disabled

I disabled root on my Arch install, and noticed that I can no longer edit the tlp config file with tlpui, because tlpui is making the changes with su. This might be a problem stemming from a choice aur maintainer made, idk. When I was using the flatpak tlpui on pop_os, there was no issue with there being no root user.
