Cutout showing in front of objects as well as behind...

I know this project is like 3 years old but thought I'd post anyways hoping someone might see this. The cutout works great when behind objects but is also cutting out objects that are behind the player and not in-between the cameras raycast and the player.
Does anyone know of a fix for this? I'm using Unity 2021.3.35f1 and URP.
