Several warnings (errors?) occur during an automake operation. They are of the following form.

%'-style pattern rules are a GNU make extension

Whether this matters much is an open question, since the primary target for gri is people using open-source systems.

I have not been checking these issues, and am closing this now because it seems to have been addressed, and is nearly a decade old.
