Dragging issues between columns, does not update labels

Applying labels makes issues be moved automatically between columns, however dragging issues between columns does not automatically update labels.

Is this functionality supposed to be working?

The crone job is supposed to ensure that all those issues are in the right lanes/columns. But, may need to rethink this.

There is a webhook which is triggered when cards (and issues) are moved between columns.

I could even see how creating a new project/project/column automatically creates a corresponding label with the name. Any updates could then be applied
