[BUG] Can't use OAuth U2M with Windows

Describe the bug

When you the OAuth to use U2M directly from VSCode (or from the WSL terminal) you get an error, since it cannot open the browser. There are a couple of tricks to overcome this but wondering if there is an easier/“official” way.
