Please build something that provides feedback to the user about the recorder state, that isn't displayed on the sketch.

Implemented in 4b4cdcf.

Set com.getflourish.stt2.recordericon.enabled to false to disable the recorder state icon. The recorder state will still be logged to the console. Set the parameter to forceoff to disable it even with a verbosity level of 0.
