Turn into a cookie cutter template

In order to simplify the maintenance of this repo, I propose we turn it into a cookie cutter template instead (docs, example of a cookie cutter template for singer taps).

To be honest — when I wrote this code, I just didn't know that cookie cutter existed!

IMO this will mean:

• We can remove a lot of the python I wrote
• Distribution will be way easier (i.e. rely on cookie cutter + a git URL for this repo, rather than putting this repo on pypi)
• People will be encouraged to make smaller contributions, keeping this project more up-to-date
