Option to opt out of the get request to the github repository

Problem

I have not yet tried this plugin due to the get request but it looks very nice.

Is the get request to https://api.github.com/repos/trey-wallis/obsidian-dataloom/releases/latest an opt in or opt out setting? That is, does the get request happen automatically or is it necessary to toggle a setting for that to happen? I would personally rather update the plugin manually via the obsidian interface.

Solution

The get request would be activated by a toggle rather than automatically if that is the case.
