no matches for record linkage with person name and address

After updating my project from dedupe 1.9.x to 2.0.13, I no longer get any matches. In the output (cluster.csv), the link_score column is always blank.
I put code and fake data in a GitHub repository to reproduce my issue. First run training_from_csv.py followed by record_linkage.py
The matches should be easy like this pair:
Benjamin S Carter 10048 Lake Shelby NC 28150-7661
Benjamin Carter 10048 Lake Way Shelby NC 28150
Would you please mind taking a look?
