Master volume as persistent setting

It would be nice if the master volume persisted during power off cycle.
Once such mechanism is in place it will allow to preserve various other user settings too.
If a configuration switch is added to select between Line-out and HP levels, it would be nice to preserve both volume levels separately, and also the switch setting.
Later, if there are many settings, a "factory reset" command will be useful to reset them all into defaults, in case user messed things up and is not sure what is going on.

This looks like a good candidate to be included into this issue as a setting to keep - #118
However keeping it seperate for the moment
