Cites are not compressed

Hi all!
I am loving the clean thesis, thanks for providing such a nice LaTex style. However, I would like to show my cites compressed. By using \cite{ref_a, ref_b, ref_c} the cites are presented as [1, 2, 3]. Is there some way to show the cites compressed? -> [1 - 3].
