Move to vtk-dicom repository?

Github supports per-project websites using the gh-pages branch in the target repository, so if the contents of this repo's vtk-dicom directory were placed in a gh-pages branch in vtk-dicom, the end result (including the url, http://dgobbi.github.io/vtk-dicom/) which would be exactly the same. Was there a conscious decision not to do it this way?
