how to converte rawdata to steps

Hello, I am new consumer of ax3, I really want a step by step guide on how to convert rawdata into numbers of steps.

There are only a few published algorithms for step counting from raw, wrist-based accelerometry.

One pedometer/step counter is implemented in omconvert:

... but I am not sure of how generally applicable the algorithm is.

A popular choice appears to be the “Verisense” algorithm, which is available for GGIR at:
