Initial box download sometimes fails

Someone trying to use this for the first time got this error on vagrant up
Downloading box from URL: files.vagrantup.com/trusty64.box. Download failed.
The trusty64 box comes from vagrantcloud (or cloud-images.ubuntu.com), so need to find a way to force the download to happen from there
