MySQL only Backend

I am desperately tyring to create a z-push backend for mysql only.
From my research group-office stores calendar items and contacts in MYSQL.
How difficult would it be to convert this backed to a MySQL backend for Contacts / Tasks / Calendar, and Imap for email?
Z-push documentation is a mess, and what is worse the MySQL backend has come up so many times on their site and never answers.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
I have no idea about mysql...
This backend is not finished ... I have stop working on it ... too painfull... Poor documentation... some stuff not working on android .. i quit

I guess Z-Push 2 is better for andriod, but none of it makes sense to me.
I just wish there were a simple MySQL backend that would work.
Z-Push 2 has even less documenation.
The closest working sample i could find (z-push sql). is atmail. But even that makes little sense
Just so you know, if you are on Group-office intermesh has ActiveSync built in (for the pro pricing)
Yes my objective has to make an open source alternative...
Just installed tine2 You should definately take a look at it.
Their activesync works PERFECTLY.
Mail, Tasks, Contacts, and Calendar.
They are open source. You might do well to take a look at it.
