When to use Freexian?

Hi there. Thanks for this great guide. I got to the part where I use Putty to install Debian but get an error, which I presume reflects that Debian no longer supports the device. I understand instead I'm supposed to use Freexian. However, I don't see how to install Freexian. I note there are commands to use, which seem to be for Linux. I'm very stuck right now! I apologise for my stupidity, but I'm not a Linux user so I'm not up to speed on this sort of stuff. Am I supposed to download Freexian in the first step of "Repalcing original firmware"? If so, I can't as I've already installed the Debian versoin.

@rsaaeidl Freexian gives you security updates of Debian for an extended period. For that, you have to configure the update servers to be the ones of Freexian by following this procedure.
Okay, so I realised I didn't go to Shell, but rather tried went to the servers, my bad, sorry. So I did this
But then just have this running
Then I tried this in the Shell wget https://deb.freexian.com/extended-lts/archive-key.gpg -O elts-archive-key.gpg && sudo mv elts-archive-key.gpg /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/freexian-archive-extended-lts.gp but get this wget: not an http or ftp url: https://deb.freexian.com/extended-lts/archive-key.gpg
And I'm stuck! Apologies for my ineptitude but I'm new to Linux!
Well, I am really not sure where you are up to. Because, Freexian changes to apply on Debian have to be done at the end, not during the Debian installation phase.
You should follow the steps one by one and not try to change the order of the commands executed. That said, you could tell me what are the steps you already did. It doesn't seem Debian is installed from the pictures you provided me.
I would like to add: I will try to help you out your issue, but this guide is unfortunately not written for new Linux users. Have this in mind please if we get no where.
