MusicChoice channels pause during playback when treated as an "audio-only" Radio Channel

In v3.5.0/v4.5.0 the new Radio Channels implementation has a "Suppress video streams" option that was supposed to cleanly get rid of all video stream components to allow channels like MusicChoice to playback in Kodi without any video.
During initial testing, no issues were noted with MusicChoice channels being handled this way, however real-world testing after the fact has exposed a potential issue wherein playback will pause for a second or two fairly regularly.
Need to investigate why this happens and if it's an addon concern or a Kodi concern.
I have determined that this is a source error and has nothing to do with the "audio-only" setting. It's actually much worse without that setting enabled, which is a recent problem; it did not occur during development of the feature. I am deeming "MusicChoice" channels to be unreliable in regard to timestamps and closing this.
