Visual works perfectly in desktop or in the service(app.powerbi)
but when we are embedding the report, it doesn't

We were in version16, updated for the 17 and still the same...
Problem started on 4th or 5th july

Hi @AndreJaarconsult - it is difficult to provide you with assistance without more specific information. To the best of my knowledge, the visual is working as intended (and I have a number of public-facing reports by other creators that I've checked and they seem okay).

If you can provide any of the following details, that would be a great help:

  • The HTML you're attempting to render within the visual (ideally a report with anonymised data that reproduces the issue)
  • The embed scenario you're attempting?
    • For instance, the visual will work in publish to web scenarios, but not embedding in PDF and PowerPoint, due to it not being certified.
    • If you're using Power BI Embedded, does embedding a different visual from the same report work as expected?
  • A link to view your report, if publicly embedded.
  • Any errors displayed in the browser console.
  • Does your content work with other HTML-based visuals such as HTML Text Styler or Shielded HTML Viewer?

Despite what the AppSource listing says, I haven't submitted any updates to HTML Content since mid-last year (2021), so if the visual has suddenly stopped working when it was before, it suggests that something in the hosting environment may have changed (i.e. outside of my control). If I need to contact MS for assistance on this or report an issue with them, I will need to be very specific in what's wrong, so anything you can provide me will help in reducing the time taken to get an official response.

It might be an issue with Power BI embedded and non-certified visuals, as someone else has noticed this issue with different visuals.

I've heard from another user that the visual is now working again for them within Power BI Embedded. It could be worth checking again from your end to see if it works for you now too.

Thanks for confirming, and glad you're sorted out. I had raised the issue with MS, so I assume they've found the root cause and resolved it.
