Algorithm rules are wrongly aligned

Tried using the algorithm2e package with option ruled with thesis.cls, but the rules are shifted to the right. The reason seems to be the parskip package, but the paragraph spacing looks very tight without it.

I guess, you'll have to define your own algorithm environment to compensate the missing paragraph indention. I'll have a look at this issue in the evening.
Can you provide a small example with an example algorithm "baked" into the thesis template?
