Opened this issue · 6 comments

Hello, i use Sickbeard piratebay edition, and use it via proxy together with transmission, and with my self signed ssl security!

everythuing works just fine.. at home.. but not when i am outstide.. i suspect it is becouse the auto signed certificate..

i hade similar problems with transmissions clientes.. only transdroid works becouse it has a settings to accept all certifcates..

do you need any information?

i'm glad to provide!

I think I had it a long time ago just accept any certificate but then someone actually took the time to make sure it was correct. I am trying to think if there is some easy way to do this without adding another option to the menu. Even better if I didn't have to release to google play again. I know other people have been using certificates but I dont know how they set that up or even got the cert. Might want to try finding one of the other users who has been using certs (in the issues) and see if they have same problem. I will try to get to this soonish. I broke my linux machine :( so I have to get my environment back up before I do anything.

Ok.. just to put more information, i dont know if it helps..

i get this error!

Yah looks like its entirely us dealing with https. To this day I haven't gotten a decent error message out of the android http stuff. Today I got my desktop back up and am working on setting my environment back up so I can probably work a bit on this this week hopefully.

I'm trying to connect to a buddy's server. He has it hidden behind apache/ldap at https://sickbeard.hostname.XXX.com. I'm not sure if there is an extra setting I need to put in? I get no issues connecting to my own server.

Have you tried installing your certificate onto your phone? I know you can do that with the newer phones, besides that I think I would have to add an option to accept all certs.

Alright - is already implemented - how about closing here all already done requests? Some other requests are done too
