No way to remove horizontal swipe animation

IMPORTANT:
Serious question: has the project been abandoned, or is it actively being maintained?
An answer would be appreciated please.
Version of flutter_calendar_carousel
Latest
Expected behavior
Swiping between months should animate horizontally only.
Actual behavior
The animation comes up from slightly lower, not at the same horizontal level.
flutter doctor result (run flutter doctor in terminal)
Steps to reproduce the behavior
Run the calendar example as per the docs, nothing extra.
