Confirm on deletion and when pressing the trash icon

Is this app still under development?

The program should ask for confirmation when the user clicks the trash (delete) icon while editing a note. The same when pressing the back button, currently the app doesn't save the modifications. A better solution would be to ask whether to save changes or discard them.

I think maybe I'd agree about asking if you are sure you want to delete an item. But I disagree about the functionality of the back button. If you made changes to an item and then you press back, I think those changes should just be saved automatically, and you should be returned to the list view. It's one too many extra steps to ask if you want to save your changes.
