GoDaddy Account Creation

Opened this issue · 8 comments

Create a new email account on https://godaddy.com/ and you see, that it wont let you.

I tried this in troubleshooting/safe mode, mind you. All extensions disabled.

1.) Go on the page, pick some domain and succeed to the cart.
2.) Hit "Continue email" and follow the instructions.
3.) GoDaddy wont let you go further than this.

Tried on Google Chrome. Works.

Hey :) it's entirely possible that GoDaddy misbehaves because of the privacy enhancing config values. To verify whether that's the case, you can temporarily remove /usr/lib/firedragon/firedragon.cfg - this will reset most of them to default values. Restart the browser and try again.

Yep, that worked.

The next steps would be to figure out which of those configs is responsible for the misbehavior. I would suggest doing trial & error, removing parts of the configs until it becomes clearer.

I could create an account just fine in LibreWolf.

Could try whether this is still an issue please? If it works in Librewolf, it should as well work in FireDragon now :) #31 (comment)

I cannot even succeed to the cart right now.

Sorry, this was closed accidentally since it shares the same id as an issue on GitLab.

Sorry, I cannot help testing, since I dont use Firedragon anymore.
