Feature Request

EmuDeck Application Feedback

Elaborate on the feature you would like to see added to EmuDeck.

On Windows, some of the emulators are installed to their default locations on C:
It would be nice if there was an option to install all portable versions of emulators

Include any websites or links that may support your feature request.

Does this feature work on the Steam Deck?

@ehamawy all the emulators in windows are portable, we don't use non portables to avoid messing up if the user has some installed emulator already. This has been since the beginning, so if you have some emulators outside of the EmuDeck folder...it's not from us :)

Hello,

I have the same request.

In the installer, I chose to install to my "D" drive and the "Emulation" folder was created there where the bios / roms / saves / storage and tools directories are created.

It also created a "EmuDeck" folder under my user account on my "C" drive and this is where all the emulators are placed.

I believe the request here is that if you choose another drive, such as "D" in my case, all the files would be placed there, both the emulators, the settings for EmuDeck and the bios / roms / saves / storage / tools directories which are created in the specified drive in the "Emulation" folder. This would allow for easier backup and fully portability if you wanted to move to an external drive or to another computer for example.
