Blank spaces appear where blocked posts should be

I saw that there was another ticket open with this same problem but it was closed without any comments. Just wanted to drop a line and say that I'm experiencing the same thing! Is this just to be expected or is this something that I can remedy?
Everything else is working fine, from what I can tell. For reference: it's a 2+ column layout, but the columns are staying in tact.

Their are some issues that come from two column themes. I am working on a new version that is easier to implement and will fix this (hopefully!).But for the current version, there should be a guide on how to implement a work around on the two column issue on the front page.

Thank you! Just to be clear, I'm not actually having any issues with the columns merging or anything. I've still got my three columns. Just having the blanks pop up wherever the blocked posts should be. Just to be sure, I did implement your suggestion for fixing two column themes and it didn't do anything for the blanks.

Hi! I'm a year late but struggling with the same issue. It would be super mega awesome if there existed a fix for this problem (or if someone would be so kind as you make/share one)!
