[Feature Request] Shortcuts in File Browser

The Open ROM menu / file explorer doesn't support shortcuts! Links to other folders simply don't show up in the file browser (even with Hidden Files ticked).
I'm assuming there's a reason GearSystem uses a custom-coded file browser rather than the OS's native browser (such as Windows File Explorer)?
