Reaching out to stackoverflow might be a good idea.

It is pretty inexpensive to advertise on Stack Overflow straight up and if they offered a discount we could probably get a lot of visibility (http://business.stackoverflow.com/advertise).

Another idea in the "Nothing About Us Without Us" vein could be to advertise that we're looking for feedback/involvement on the survey. Might help hit the collaborator goal a bit quicker

Thanks @paulsheldrake. Had some good conversations with Stack Overflow, they're going to subsidize the advertising, to help get as many results as possible.
