Unable to control the song through audioband controls when using spotify as an audio source

Describe the bug
When using spotify as an audio source, I can't seem to pause, control reptition or shuffling, or jump to a different part using the progress bar. I can skip to the next song or go to the previous one, and the track info is displayed just fine, but that's about it.

Version Info

  • Windows version
  • AudioBand Version 0.9.4

Additional Context
I am using the free version of spotify without a premium subscription, if that has anything to do with it. Playing songs from my "Liked songs" tab in spotify.

Apparently I had both music players running in the background somehow. I don't know if that's related but when I closed musicbee I can now pause and resume the song (spotify audio source), but still can't control progression, reptition or shuffling.

I had the same issue, but mine wasn't due to different music players running. If Spotify is running as admin the AudioBand controls won't work at all.

@MythDanny These actions can only be done by premium spotify users (limit to the spotify api)
There is no way this will ever work for non premium users (this issue is closable)
