Issue with using DAWS own preset format and recalling correct preset names

Closed this issue · 0 comments

Hey :)

First I use an M1 Macbook and Logic 11.01, OSX 13.6.1.

I like to save presets, using Logics own preset system. It's much faster and easier to use for me personally. But I experience an issue with all the DSP plugins, Ostirus, Osirus, Vavra, etc.:

When I save a preset, using Logic own preset format, and then do a "save as" for the Logic project and save it as a new project and then close and open the Logic project, the preset name is almost always changed to be just "default". It does play the correct preset, but it does not recall the correct name it just states "default" in Logic preset menu.

Before saving and closing project:

After reload project:

These are the only plugins I have that does this and does get a bit confusing at times, that it shows a different preset name that is actually playing.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention it. Here are steps to recall for Logic:

  1. Save Vavra preset using Logics own preset system.
  2. Do a Save As for the Logic project.
  3. Close Logic and reopen Logic and reopen Logic project.
  4. See the name of the preset changed to default.

Like I said it happens almost everytime here, sometimes it doesn't. If you just do a Save for the Logic project it usually recalls the name correct, but when you do a Save As it almost always changes the name.

I just used Vavra as an example, but as mentioned above it's all of the plugins that does this,

Oh, and thank you for some of the best software I got in years. Best soft synths ever and I pretty much don't use any othe soft synths these days :)

Best wishes,
