METreformat: Need to reformat the PSTD linetype to support the Reliability Diagram used by RRFS R2O

Closed this issue · 1 comments

Describe the Enhancement

The PSTD linetype is needed for generating the reliability diagram which requires the following columns:
thresh_i, stat_name, stat_value, stat_btcl, stat_btcu, nstats

The data generated from the METviewer database looks like the following:
reliability.data.txt

Time Estimate

Estimate the amount of work required here.
Issues should represent approximately 1 to 3 days of work.

Sub-Issues

Consider breaking the enhancement down into sub-issues.

  • Verify that the data columns in the data are what will be needed by the RRFS R2O project
  • Reformat the raw .stat file for PCT linetype into the appropriate columns
  • Create tests to verify data integrity
  • Update User's Guide

The PCT linetype is needed for the reliability diagram, not the PSTD linetype. This task is not necessary.

The currently available reformatted PCT linetype needs to have aggregation statistics calculated via METcalcpy agg_stat.py before it can be read in by METplotpy reliability_diagram.
