Translations

Identify what we need to translate and what priority this has so we can plan how to do it.

Is it important to translate the developer conversation itself, i.e. github issues? How do we determine which languages are necessary to support?

That's an interesting question. I haven't seen a project which translates issues. As translations usually take time and are often incomplete it's probably really hard to follow conversations if you are not reading the original language.

In terms of which languages to support I would leave that to the community. If there is interest in a language there will most probably be people who do translations because that's a nice way to contribute without being able to write code.

I guess the most obvious translation candidates besides strings in the application are ADRs (BIPs in bitcoin). I would not apply it on issues or anything. To get a good idea about an issue various translation services in the interwebs are good enough.

We also have the wallet which is an electron app of which I do not know the translation process / mechanism.

@scravy there is none. There is no i18n support in the JS code (strings are there plain text), nor you can switch languages in the UI, so I'm pretty confident.

There has not been any activity in the past month. Is there anything to follow-up?

There has not been any activity in the past 10 days. Is this still active?
