Cannot edit projects

Bugnet version is 1.6.339.0
Everytime I try to edit a Project I get this error
"Application Error - /BugNet/Administration/Projects/EditProject/1" the number 1 indicates the number of the project I am trying to edit, this error occurs for all projects as well as some other settings such as User accounts. I have tried restarting IIS, we are using a non-local SQL database

Decided to roll back the database and this has 'resolved' the issue. I would like to know (best guess) what the problem was so that we can prevent it from happening again or at least resolve it less drastically. Thanks
