PrinCube seems to do everything but printing

Hi,
Even though the ink seems ready and the Sensor IQC seems to be working (86 when placed on paper), the printing somehow wont start. I updated PrinCube to the latest firmware using cloner.
Things that work:
- ink seems ready (visible ink on catridge, leaves color marks on finger when touched ;) )
- picture is ready for printing
- optical sensor works (value < 255)
- Device switches to printing stage (one beep, green light at sides) when pressing button in ready stage (high pitched sound)
- Device switches back to ready stage after dragging it over paper (not that high pitched sound)
Things that don't work:
- Printing
Do you have any suggestion where to look?
