Icons not shown

Describe the bug

When using Hidden Bar, some icons aren't shown. After quitting Hidden Bar they're shown again.

It appears that the Menu Bar has a maximum length for icons or something, it might be a configuration that I haven't been able to find. Apparently the space before (on the right) of Hidden Bar also counts as icon count.

Steps to reproduce

Open a bunch of apps that appear on the menu bar. After a given number, new icons aren't shown.

Expected behaviour

I would like to add as many icons as I want.

Environment

You may write here the specifications like the version of the project, operating system, or hardware if applicable.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: macOS 12.6 Monterey
  • Seen behaviour with Hidden Bar 1.8 and 1.9

I believe I am having this same issue. I am also on macOS 12.6 and Hidden Bar 1.9.

Same for me. macOS 13.0, Hidden bar 1.8 from app store and 1.9 from github releases.

The new app always adds at the left of the Menu. If there is no spacing left, it automatically hides.
The way Hidden Bar work is to create a very long tranparent icon to put everything to the left. Every new icon added by opening a new app after that will be hidden because it automatically adds to the left of the menu bar.
When you close the HiddenBar, you make some space, that is the reason why you can see your icons.
