Request - Logging Total time racked up by a timer each day

would be nice, if there was a command-line option that would enable logging total time elapsed of a timer each day.

For example I run the same timer and restart it with R when I get back to my computer.

If at the end of the day the sum total of all the times it ran (e.g. 35 minute timer.. 35 + 35 + 15 (didn't complete before being stopped or restarted) + 35 = 120 mins or 2 hrs worked today)

ok after writing that comment just now I realize it is a stupid idea because sometimes I sit at the computer past when the timer expires.
