Persistent Fragment State Preservation in Main Activity Navigation

In my main activity, I present four fragments. Each time I select one of these fragments, it reloads as if it were being accessed for the first time. I aim to ensure that when navigating away from a fragment and returning to it, the fragment retains its previous state rather than resetting upon reentry.
