Investigate multichain platform alternatives

Investigate, compare and contrast the advantages of the different platforms to use for eBTC's multichain strategy. Make special emphasis and prioritize their requirements from a SC perspective in order to identify any low impact implementations that could enable future integrations.

Main options:

• Layer Zero
• Chainlink's CCIP

Compatability was confirmed with both options and was considered to be good enough for the time being. We will put a pin on the research and continue after launch.
