Expected behavior

My expectation was that it would not be possible to use an Emoji as a tag because it would output an error in different frontends.

Actual behavior

At the moment it is possible to use an Emoji as a day in the app. This makes it possible to get to a URL that cannot be displayed.

As an example here are some links where it works:

How to reproduce

Install the latest version of esteem Surfers

Go to the edit mode of a post and use an emoji as tag.

  • Simply insert an emoji into the body of the content, mark and copy it and finally paste it as tag into the tag bar.
  • Browser/App version: 2.0.6 latest
  • Operating system: MAC OS 10.14

Solution Idea:

To allow the insertion and representation of Emojis only in the title and in the body of the post. Disable emojis for tags
