How to build svg2fxml?

I'd like to use svg2fxml (either as stand-alone or as library), and navively ran mvn package in ./modules/core/org.eclipse.fx.formats.svg. Didn't work. I cannot post the log here, it litterally throws billions of java.lang.IllegalStateException: Resource has not been loaded exceptions (I stopped at 1GiB of log file).
