I upgraded dependencies to latest for nativescript, nativescript-angular & tns-core-modules and since then i noticed the ripple effect does not get bound to their container. It spreads across the screen. I downgraded back but still same issue.

I realised that using Ripple as the registered element name was what was causing the weird issue.
