Does not work with favicons fed from CDN

Hi, we are using CouldFlare CDN to host all our images. Since recently we do the same with the icons. Since migration to CloudFlare the badge in favicon does not work yet on our local development where we source images locally the badge is there and working.
Is there a domain dependency or something similar in place in the plugin?
Is there a walkaround for that?

@gpiwowarski-alison is the error you are seeing related to the CORS policy? I believe I am having the same problem!
