SMB Support

Please provide a SMB Share Option like the other Emulators. Many people are
using NetworkStorages and it's a hillarious feature to load you ROM's from
a SMB Share.

I'll do it...

Can you add me as dev?

  • Changed state: Accepted
  • Added labels: Type-Enhancement, Priority-Low
  • Removed labels: Type-Defect, Priority-Medium
Cool, thanks for doing this.
However i'd prefer you don't release svn builds as "official". There are tons
of stuff that were added since the last release and they would need to be
documented first. There are also things i want to add and stability issues to
fix before doing a proper release. I don't want people thinking it's the new
stable version then start asking why this or this does not work ;-)

Oh, sorry...
Didn't think about that :(

Just wanted to let People use the latest version + smb support. Should i rename
the "latest" download to "unofficial SVN Version" or something like that or
remove the download?

I could help you with the documentation.

Original comment by talant...@gmail.com on 16 Jun 2010 at 5:41

Me too :)

SMB Support is implemented and working.

OnScreenKeyboard will follow when i have enough time... As i said, if i can
help you somewhere else, tell me.

  • Changed state: Fixed
People can still get the code from SVN and compile it as usual, the fact there
is a new feature added should not change that, even if I understand you want
people to test your work ;-)

I will take care of the changelog myself, thanks (most of the things that were
added/fixed are listed in the file HISTORY.txt on SVN by the way). For the time
being, I removed your file, you can still re-upload it without any
documentation (just the dol) and label the download as "beta based on SVN rev60
(incl. SMB support)"

Ok, i'll do so, sry again :)

I just wanted to provide the binaries for people who aren't able to compile.

Original comment by talant...@gmail.com on 16 Jun 2010 at 6:46

:(

Wow, they were fast... :C
I didn't want to cause you any troubles... just wanted to help you. I won't
upload any Zip Files anymore...

I'm really sorry...

Original comment by talant...@gmail.com on 16 Jun 2010 at 3:44

Don't worry, that's really not big troubles, but now you realize that we should
take some caution when making release, at least I try to keep that as clean as
possible... even if it takes time ;-)

exactly what I wanted to avoid (incomplete changelog, version mistaken for an
official one, etc)
