Lightning spell doesn't hit?

Hi! First of all great plug-in, absolutely my favorite one.

My problem is when I use the lightning spell it just doesn't hit. All it does it create smoke around the person and strike in some random direction. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if it's the spell. Can anyone help? Thanks.

As the spell progresses you gain accuracy. In the first level of it it is fairly low accuracy like you describe.
