Conversation/room showed as empty then mismatched against actual content

Steps to reproduce
- Create conversation
- Send messages from Android app
- Edit and delete messages on either/both Android and desktop app
- After deleting messages, conversation suddenly appears completely empty on Android app
- Back out of and go back into conversation, after which content reappears but doesn't match content in desktop app (edits missing, etc)
Outcome
What did you expect?
I expected the Android app to constantly, immediately, and continually show all messages of the conversation and for them to all be updated as with the desktop app
What happened instead?
